The Museum

"I like the Museum" I said.  On Friday Space 5 went to the Museum to learn Maori art.

First we hopped on the bus.  It was bumpy and noisy.

Next Space 5 hopped out of the bus and went inside the Museum.  There was heaps of things.

After that Matua George took us down to a room.  I did a drawing and I did a painting and a drawing on a piece of paper.

Last of all Space 5 went back to school.

Disco

Aquaysia and Jah at the circus disco
"Yay let's rock this party!"  On Friday night I went to the disco with Jah to see the funniest clown who is called Mrs Peden.

First I got dressed up in my beautiful clothes.

Next my pretty Mum painted a flower and a butterfly on my soft cheeks and she painted red lipstick on my lovely lips.

After that Mum took us to the darkness disco.  I boogied with my fancy teacher and my great friends.

Then Jah got me an ice-cream, a drink and a muffin.

Last of all, we went home.

Our amazing tower

On Thursday while some of our class was away, we decided to make the tallest tower.  We worked really hard and used all of the square Lokon pieces.  It was tricky when it got taller and it kept breaking.  When we had finished, we measured it and it was 183 cm tall!

Superkids!

If I was a superkid I would save people when there is a tsunami.  I will pounce very high so the waves don’t get me.  I will save all the nice people because I don’t want my parents and all my super friends to die.  I have more super powers than them.  I would fight crime and save animals.  When a animal is on a cliff and is about to fall I would catch them.  Then I would sleep and get more power and I will help cops find robbers because robbers steal people’s cars and money.  Then the world would be safe.  I would like to be a superkid because girls will like me.  They would like me because I am strong and handsome.

Superkids!

If I was a superkid I would save people who are drowning and falling and stuck from a humongous, giant tsunami because it is a terrible danger.  If you have one of these terrible dangers I will save you.  I will look around the whole entire world because I will save you when a robber tries to steal your money because it is not fair when people sneak in to your house and steal your stuff.  I will help you when you’re stuck under heavy stuff because I’m strong and I could lift up everything in the whole entire world.  I can do x-ray vision.  Do you know what that means?  I can look through stuff because I am a super kid.  I like being a superkid because it is fun because I like saving the world.

Superkids!

If I was a superkid I would save people from getting hurt.  Also I will save people from earthquakes because it is scary when people die.  I will fly around the world and look at lots of people in case they get hurt.   I would have x-ray vision to see through walls.  I would be really strong.  I will lift  really heavy stuff.  I like being a superkid because I like saving lots and lots of people.

Superkids!

If I was a superkid I would fight bad people because it’s not good to steal people’s things.  I would spend time with my family because I will be very busy.  I won’t get to play with my friends.  I would be normal.  I would do my work.

My Favourite Place

My favourite place is at the beach.  I can hear the waves crashing.  I can see birds gliding in the sky.  I like building sand castles with sticks on the top.  I like feeling the squishy sand and I like to swim in the freezing cold sea.  There are heaps of people that go to the beach.  It is my favourite place because there are hug sand dunes I like running down.  Sometimes I see four wheel motorbikes and boats.  The beach would be even better if there were my favourite animals living there because I love orcas.

Tyler's writing is extended abstract because he has described many things about his favourite place, explained why it is his favourite place and reflected on how it could be better.

My Favourite Place

My favourite place is my bed.  I have a soft fluffy barbie pillow and a beautiful pretty barbie blanket.  It is very very comfortable.  It is cool to me because it is totally brilliant and fantastic.  My bed is my favourite place because it is stylish and wonderful.  I sleep by the green wall.  My tiger sleeps at the end of my bed and if I have a bad dream, I will wake up and go into my mum's bed which is in the lounge.

The Duck-Cat

A cute little cat was walking in the sun.  It saw a beautiful  pond so it drank some.  When it drank he accidently had a duck.  Then it swallowed it.  The cat was walking.  It  stopped and looked down.  It had duck feet.  It was weird.  Everybody was staring at it and teasing it.  The little cat decided to run away to it's mother.  It's mother said "You are not in our family" so it scared it.  It went back to the pond.  The mother duck said "There you are.  It's tea time".

The Duck-Cat

One day a cat was hunting for a juicy duck.  He saw a duck and the cat ate the duck.  The cat turned round like a ball.   The ducks feet popped up and wings and some blue eyes.  He had everything he needed to be happy.  He saw his mum.  The duck came out.  Off the duck went.

Kiwis

A kiwi is bird.  It has wings but can’t fly.  It is special to us because there aren’t many left.

A kiwi has a long yellow beak to eat worms under the ground.  It has brown thick feathers.  It has tiny little wings that can’t fly.

A kiwi lives in New Zealand in the bushes and in burrows.  Kiwis dig burrows and cover the entrance so their enemies can’t get in.

A kiwi lays a big egg.  It sleeps at day and comes out at night to catch food.

Kiwis

Kiwis are birds but they can’t fly.

A kiwi has a long beak.  It has furry and fluffy little wings.  The kiwis eat snails and worms too.

Kiwis live in New Zealand only.  They live in the burrows and look
after the eggs.

Kiwis sleep all day and eat at night.  They run their fastest and they sniff for worms and stuff that they eat.  Kiwis can dig and smell for food with it’s nose at the bottom of it’s beak.

Kiwis

A kiwi is a small cute bird.  Kiwis are special to us.  There are 3 different kinds of kiwis.

A kiwi has a long beak to eat worms.  A kiwi has little black eyes and they have holes for ears.

Kiwis are only in New Zealand.  Kiwis live in forests and they live in the bush.  They live in burrows.

A kiwi sleeps all day and at night kiwis eat worms and insects.  They make nests.  Kiwis can’t fly.
